12 Bible Verses That Prove God Is In Control

Sometimes in life, we just need a pick-me-up. 🙂 Here are 12 verses that I hope will help you know that God is good and He is in control!

1. Matthew 6:25-27

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?  Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?”

2. Proverbs 16:4

“The LORD works out everything to its proper end– even the wicked for a day of disaster.”

3. Romans 8:28

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

4. Psalms 71:20

“You who have made me see many troubles and calamities will revive me again; from the depths of the earth you will bring me up again.”

5. Proverbs 16:9

“We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps.”

6. Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

7. Proverbs 3:5-6

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

8. John 11:40

“Jesus responded, “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?”

9. John 16:33

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

10. Joshua 1:9

“This is my command–be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

11. 1 John 4:4

“…because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”

12. 2 Peter 3:9

“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
