Never Underestimate Your Impact

Often, when people go to a location to serve, encourage, and share the gospel, they will most likely come back with heaps of stories to share about their time there.

Yet, one of the most common denominators during these storytimes is that the locals were such a blessing and an encouragement to the team! That is exactly what happened to our team in Lismore! However, that isn’t the only thing that made Lismore special.

We went with high enthusiasm ready to serve, serve, serve! We knew we would only have a short 6 days in Lismore, so we wanted to give this trip everything we had!

With each ministry we put our hands to whether it was painting, a food program, a prayer and worship night, or an intercession drive, it was clear to see that each local person we worked with had so much love and care for their hometown! This is what was so special about Lismore. They were beyond passionate for their home and burning with a desire to see people encounter the love of Jesus.

It was an incredible environment to jump into! It was so easy for our group to come alongside a community of believers that were all unified in their vision to see God’s kingdom come and will be done in Lismore. This short trip to Lismore simply felt like visiting family and friends. Though they may come from different denominations and cultures; what a gift it was to see the body of Christ working together for a common goal.

Never underestimate the amount of impact a short trip can make on the people around you and yourself. It was amazing to be a part of a community that carries such intentionally towards each individual and who gather together regularly to see Kingdom transformation in their community.
